Why not celebrate your child's birthday with a pottery party at my studio?
The pottery parties are great entertainment for a group of friends to be creative with clay.They are held in my workshop on a suitable afternoon usually from 3-4.30pm for up to 10 children. We broadly decide in advance what will be made to make the best use of the party time. The children  then each design and make their work using prepared clay. We have a break in the middle for fruit juice and crisps and a run around the garden -and we try to spot the animals on our smallholding!
Then we return to the workshop to finish decorating our creations by painting with underglazes. I then show the children the kiln workshop where their work will be fired and explain the process by which their work will be transformed from soft clay to hard ceramic. I biscuit and glaze fire the pots and they are usually ready for collection in 4-6 weeks. This is suitable for 6 year olds and upwards (oldest group so far 40years+!)
I charge £9.50 per child booked for the party (minimum party cost £66.50). A 10% deposit is requested on booking.
Commissions undertaken
For baby sisters & brothers I make momento hand and footprints with the child's name written on the ceramic. I charge £9.50 for a single print and £15.50 for a double. I also make & decorate named baby mugs & plates to commission. I charge from £15/item.
